This interior door concept (see left) was inspired by the evolution-door invented by Klemens Torgller. (see hereunder)...

Due to spatial limitations in the area were the origami door needed to be installed, it was not possible to implement the original Torggler design. The space required for the point to move away from the initial door-plane (when opened / closed) was not available. The design was adapte to cope with this space limiting boundary condition. The adaptation resulted in a unwanted additional degree of freedom, which was removed by adding a metallic bar on the backside of the door.

Description

The gabion selfmade mailbox is based on black trellis work, binded together with black insulated electricity wires and filed with brown volcanic stones.

TIP: Note that the front and back facet needs to be interconnected with metalic wires distributed over the surface in order to avoid bending of the metalic trellis work under the pressure of the stones.

The wooden wine bottle holder is designed such that, once the bottleneck of the wine bottle is placed as far as it gets in the circular hole, its center of gravity corresponds to the small rectangular facet in contact with the table.

Description

The front side of this photo frame was made of galvanized sheet metal. First, four holes were drilled for allowing a scroll saw blade to pass. Then the two diagonal axes are cut. The four sides are then shaped (curved) by means of a bottle.
